Description and Uses:

Organic Spike Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula latifolia) is distinctly different from “true” Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) in both aroma and chemical composition—meaning it offers its own unique traditional uses and benefits. Spike Lavender has a sharper, more camphoraceous, penetrating scent with woody undertones and is often valued for its stimulating and cleansing properties.

Because of its naturally higher content of 1,8-cineole and camphor, Spike Lavender is commonly used in aromatherapy blends intended for respiratory congestion, especially during seasonal discomfort. It is also frequently included in massage blends for muscle discomfort, tension, inflammation, and in blends traditionally used for headaches and general revitalization support.

This is not the lavender oil we typically recommend for relaxation or gentle aromatic enjoyment. Instead, Spike Lavender is best suited for functional blends—especially those designed to feel clarifying, invigorating, and supportive during times when you need a refreshing boost.

Ways to Use Organic Spike Lavender Essential Oil:

Clearing Diffuser Blend

Add 1–3 drops to a diffuser with Eucalyptus or Lemon for a fresh, invigorating atmosphere.

Muscle Comfort Massage Oil

Dilute in a carrier oil and massage into areas of tension after activity (always patch test first).
