Description and Uses:
Elemi Essential Oil is a beautifully renewing resin oil valued for its ability to support skin rejuvenation, which is why it’s often referred to as an “anti-wrinkle” essential oil in natural skincare. Steam distilled from the aromatic resin of the Elemi tree (Canarium luzonicum), this oil offers a fresh, citrusy-herbaceous aroma with subtle resinous depth—making it both uplifting and grounding.
Elemi comes from a large tropical tree that can grow up to 100 feet tall, native to the Philippines, where it is also cultivated. The essential oil is obtained by steam distilling the resin that naturally oozes from the tree when the bark is punctured or injured. This resin is traditionally valued for its restorative properties and is especially popular in facial care blends, balms, and soothing body oils.
