Description and Uses:
Balsam Peru Essential Oil (Myroxylon balsamum) is steam distilled from the protective resin that naturally exudes from the bark of the tree when it is wounded. Deeply aromatic and beautifully warm, this oil has a soft, sweet vanilla-like scent with rich resinous undertones—making it a favorite in natural perfumery and comforting aromatherapy blends.
Balsam Peru is widely used as a fixative and fragrance component in body care products such as lotions, soaps, creams, and perfumes, where it adds depth, sweetness, and lasting warmth. In perfumery, it’s prized for its ability to anchor lighter notes and impart a rich, earthy sweetness that feels both sensual and grounding.
Energetically, Balsam Peru is often described as both strengthening and stabilizing, with a comforting presence that can feel calming during times of stress, yet gently stimulating when emotional energy feels low. Handling Note:
Balsam Peru is naturally a very thick oil. The reducer cap on smaller bottles may need to be removed in order to dispense. Gently warming the bottle in a double boiler can help the oil flow more easily.

Ways to Use Balsam Peru Essential Oil:
Cozy Diffuser Blend
Add 1–3 drops to a diffuser with Sweet Orange or Sandalwood for a warm, comforting atmosphere.
Natural Perfume Fixative
Use 1 drop in perfume blends to add sweetness and help extend the life of lighter notes.

For external use only. Always dilute properly before applying to skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
